Fragrance/parfum is to beauty/cosmetics! Whaaat? Yes, do not be fooled by the ingredient "natural flavors." That makes me sad, though I am not surprised. Sad because I have sometimes been excited about minimal ingredients in my packaged food and have overlooked the natural flavors as an ingredient that should cause me to pause. Not sure why, I certainly avoid all skincare/beauty products that have fragrance/parfum as an ingredient because they can hide any number of toxic ingredients under that label.

Clean eats
Growing up, I can't say I had the best eating habits. A product of the American diet for sure, I was eating sugar ladened cereals (luckily I actually hated milk - esp non-fat, must've been my body's early intuition), LOTS of candy, loved McDonald's..etc.

Lunch Inspo
I've been meaning to post this for a while but just hadn't found the time! I wanted to share some lunch/snack inspos.

Conscious vs. Convenience
Isn't there just a fine line between the two in parenting? For instance, I know that eating at home is far more healthier for us than going out to eat. However, we love going out to eat plus it's just more convenient sometimes to run out to get a bite rather than, prepping, cooking, cleaning...

Gluten Free and then some...
Our little Waldorf school community is so small right now...nine families to be exact. And would you believe that despite being so small, we have a nut-free, a gluten-free and a couple dairy-free children! At first one might look at that and be exasperated since we are a co-op lunch bunch.
However, it really makes me think "Hmm, maybe we should all be eating less gluten, nuts..dairy?" Nah. Just maybe less gluten. I'm okay with that since I have several friends who aren't necessarily allergic to gluten but have reported feeling better in their body since giving up gluten electively.
Tomorrow I will be making Sesame Cookies
