Pismo Beach is a great weekend getaway. Just about three hours away from LA. We stayed at the Sea Gypsy Motel and had a great room. Window opens out to the ocean.
I suppose it's even more fun to hit Pismo in early October to early November during apple season. Up at San Luis Obispo, SLO Creek Farms has a beautiful apple orchard and herbs that you can pick. It's an organic orchard which I appreciate. Even though it was late in the season, the babe still had fun picking apples.
We had dinner at Splash Cafe. Hmm, average food and I thought the clam chowder was a bit salty and thick. But the line was out the door.
The next morning, we stopped into Old West Cinnamon Rolls - again line out the door. The cinnamon rolls were pretty delicious and the coffee/espresso was good!
